A negative start to the week as expected, to dismiss the rebound effort late last week and leave a downside bias to the range theme for Tuesday and the focus on support.

The bearish outside pattern on Friday 2nd May through 1.1064 negated the prior bullish tone for a shift back to a broader range environment.

A strong rebound rally last week and despite a further setback we see bullish pressures intact whilst minimally above 1.1064.

The push through a notable barrier at 1.1380 reinforced the late April extension above 1.1249, which produced a shift to a more bullish tone into May.

A surge overnight post the UK Election Day, to reinforce the base that has built this week in the 1.5088/87 area to overcome the late April recovery high 1.5500 and maintain a bullish theme into May.

A strong rally resuming, as we had expected after a corrective consolidation bias to start the week, to just stall at a notable barrier at 1.1380.

The strong bounce after a prod at 1.1069 to another new recovery high, as we had anticipated, has reinforced the late April extension above 1.1249, which produced a shift to a more bullish tone into May.

Despite a corrective setback, a base has built this week in the 1.5088/87 area to allow for a modest rebound and leave a positive bias into midweek.

Furthermore, the strong rally from mid-April through 1.5164 and late April push through numerous short-term resistance levels to hit 1.5500, maintains a bullish theme into May.
